Tennis Hall Of Famer Jim Courier Helps Present Wimbledon 2009 At Rockefeller Center

He was once ranked the world's best tennis player with four grand slam titles under his belt. But today, tennis champion Jim Courier is bringing a bit of Wimbeldon from across the pond to midtown Manhattan.
Courier, along with fellow world champion Jennifer Capriati, are taking part of today's HSBC presents Wimbledon 2009 at Rockefeller Center. They will play an exhibition today, June 22 at 12pm with select fans on a specially-developed grass court to bring the authentic tournament experience to NYC and celebrate the first day of Wimbeldon. The event's emcee Luke Jensen will call the plays.
The week-long "HSBC presents Wimbledon 2009 at Rockefeller Center" takes place from Monday, June 22 to Friday, June 26 from 7am to 7pm.
Activities are open to the public and include:
• Live Wimbledon screenings at viewing area 7am to 5pm, followed by classic footage till 7pm
• Singles tennis on Manhattan's only grass court
• Prince Tennis Clinics (Tips from tennis pros June 23 & 24 from 11:30am to 1pm and 5:30pm to 7pm, and June 25 & 26 from 1pm to 2:30pm and 4pm to 5:30pm; walk-ins welcome).
• Carts serving traditional English strawberries and cream
• Play the new EA Sports™ Grand Slam® Tennis video game
• Pose with the Wimbledon Trophy through green screen technology, get your photo on-site
