British String Quartet Escala Performs, Puts Out Debut Album

escala0623.jpg

Escala, the all-female string quartet who rose to fame on Britain's Got Talent 2008, stopped by to tell us about the debut of their self-titled album, which is available in stores today. They will also perform for us two songs "Live & Let Die" and "Kashmir".

Escala is made up of Izzy Johnston, Chantal Leverton, Victoria Lyon and Natasya Hodges. They met while touring with British boyband McFly. And each girl has been classically trained and enjoy rock music. Izzy comes from a family of musicians. Chantal first picked up the violin at age seven. Victoria's great-great-grand-mother is 19th century opera singer Jenny Lind. Tasya speaks four languages.

The album Escala is available in stores now. For more information on the band and their music, visit www.escalamusic.com.

I have been a fan of their since the beginning because I love the band McFly and Izzy is dating the drummer Harry Judd. So when I heard they were on Britain's Got Talent I immediately searched them on You tube and found their performance jaw dropping!!! I think they are absolutely amazing plus fantastic role models for young girls! They are gorgeous and it shows you if you strive for something and work long and hard enough for it you can achieve it!

Are they just trying to copy that other British electric string quartet Bond?
