Celebrate Legendary Rock Star Eddie Money With 'Two Tickets To Paradise'

eddie0602a.jpg

Musician Eddie Money stopped by to perform two of his hits for your listening pleasure, as well as talk about Two Tickets To Paradise - The Musical.

The original play is directed by John Blenn and documents Money's true life story. It follows Money and his working class family on their journey together as he rebels against them in order to fulfill his dream of becoming a rock star. The play features 8 new songs as well as many of his hits. Songs like “Baby Hold On,” “Take Me Home Tonight” and “Shakin” take you back to the wildness of an era gone by.

After securing a recording contract with Columbia Records, Money gained widespread renown with hits like "Think I'm In Love" in the 80's. His album Can't Hold Back featured a Ronnie Spector duet with "Take Me Home Tonight", which reached the Top 10, along with the hit "I Wanna Go Back".

Two Tickets To Paradise - The Musical will be performed at The Dix Hills Performing Arts Center in Dix Hills, NY. Performances will take place from June 4 - June 7, and June 11- June 24. Visit www.dhpac.org to purchase tickets or for more information.

I just saw hime live at Great Lakes, IL, he was either drunk or high on something, I was afraid he might fall off the stage (he didn't).

And came out in old torn blue jeans, not the stylish kind either.

What's up with him?

Eddie Money is a classic rock guy. Someone in rock n' roll who drinks? Wow, that's different. Eddie's songs are great, he's a great performer and loves his audience. More guys have scored because of Take me Home tonight..in fact..maybe you're here because of that song. Thanks Eddie for a great body of work, I've always had fun listening to your songs, and for still changing with the times.

I'll always dance to your songs, and think of you fondly, Colleen

What is with him, is drugs and alcohol. And it is disappointing when you pay for a show, and dont get your moneys (pardon the pun) worth, instead getting some stoned out/drunk guy who cant remember lyrics and stumbles through songs. i too saw him recently and he was less than polite when fans wanted a photo with him at the dix hills performing arts center.

Hi there,

I've read some negative comments about Eddie being drunk or high, and about him being rude about photo taking. I will respectfully say that i've met him about 20 times, and he has ALWAYS been generous with photos, handshakes, autographs, and I've never seen him high.

He's a cool guy...trust me...and i'm just a regular fan.

Cheers,
BC
