Shawn Wayans Talks About 'Dance Flick'

PIX's Emily Frances spoke to actor Shawn Wayans about his latest comedy spoof, Dance Flick. We recently spoke to the film's director (and his nephew) Damien Dante Wayans and co-stars Shoshana Bush and brother Marlon Wayans.

Dance Flick follows the Wayans' trend of parody films, like the Scary Movie series, and pokes fun at movies like Save The Last Dance and Hairspray. The movie focuses on street dancer Thomas Uncles (Damon Wayans, Jr.), who is from the wrong side of the tracks, but his bond with the beautiful Megan White (Shoshana Bush) might help the duo realize their dreams as the enter in the mother of all dance battles. Shawn Wayans plays Baby Daddy.

Wayans is an actor, producer, comedian, writer, and director of movies. In the past, he has likewise teamed up with his brother Marlon Wayans, in movies such as Scary Movie, Scary Movie 2, White Chicks, and Little Man. The siblings starred the sitcom The Wayans Bros from 1995 'til 1999.
