Actress Carla-Rae Stars In PBS' 'We Shall Remain'

Actress Carla-Rae stopped by the studio to talk about starring in the third episode of the PBS mini-series' We Shall Remain "Trail Of Tears" in which she stars opposite actor Wes Studi.
The We Shall Remain series takes look at what happened to Native American and their lives as European settlers came to North America. Tonight's episode "Trail Of Tears" focuses on what the Cherokee called "The Trail Where They Cried." On May 26, 1838, federal troops forced thousands of Cherokee from their homes in the Southeastern United States, driving them toward Indian Territory in Eastern Oklahoma. More than 4,000 died of disease and starvation along the way.
Carla-Rae is a Native American actress whose background is Mohawk-Seneca. An interesting person with a vivacious personality and bright spirit, she won Best Supporting Actress from the American Indian Film Festival for her role in Imprint. She also appeared in the TV series New Amsterdam and worked on Taking A Chance with Kevin Bacon.
