That ball was caught by one of our very own PIX Morning News staffers Wayne Westerfield. He's here with the baseball that everyone is talking about and Jason Klein from Steiner Sports, one of the largest sports memorabilia companies.
Westerfield talked about the experience of catching the baseball, if he thought about throwing it back and if he plans on keeping it or selling it. Klein will appriase the ball for Wayne and give him tips on how to bring the value up.
Congratulation to Wayne! For more information on Steiner Sports, visit www.steinersports.com.

Who is that good looking salesman from Steiner Sports?
This was the first home-run at Citi Field. According to Elias Sports Bureau, it was the first time that a new baseball stadium was opened with the first hitter hiting a home-run.
If Wayne Westerfield did throw the ball back, he would spend the rest of his life regretting that action.
Facinating. Can't believe that I can actually buy sports treasures like that! Lucky guy to have caught that valuable ball! Must call that handsome Jason Klein and buy something from the Yankees quick while I have the chance.
Wayne is a great guy. I was sitting a couple of rows behind him and he let my 8 year old son hold the ball so I can take a picture with the both of them. Just think it only took 3 pitches in CitiField history for my son to have a moment he will have forever.
THROW IT BACK!
Wayne's a smart guy! Why throw a "valuable" baseball back??
Let the gentleman, (J.Klein) from Steiner Sports, offer you a "GOOD PRICE" ... and sell it to him!!! POCKET THE MONEY NOW, while the "GETTING IS GOOD". I understand companies pay "BIG BUCKS FOR THESE ITEMS."
Good Luck to you Wayne Westerfield ... and to you Mr. J. Klein.
