Yes they should have armed sercurity on campus.
The students shouldnt be aloud to carry loaded guns. More survalliance cameras. And hire sercurity that is reliable. Half the time they just grab people off the street to save a buck.
If the pay is cheap, People just dont care.
Pay top dollar for sercurity to insure school safety!!! Thanks!

I for one cannot even believe that this is a question to be asked. In view of our past history when innocent children are gunned down in their classrooms because someone has lost their mind, well it just amazes me that we would even consider something like that.

I think that guns should be allowed on college campuses, because people have the right to defend themselves. This policy should apply to all colleges, not just one or two. Proper training is the best way to make sure that if people are allowed to have guns on campus, they know exactly what to do in certain situations, and it ensures that this right is not abused.

Only law enforcement or retired law enforcement and security personnel should be allowed to carry a firearm on a college campus.

I don't think guns should be allowed. Colleges are typically know for students having parties involving alcohol and drugs... What happens if one on these impaired students gets a hold of one these guns or worse has one of their own. I think this will just make these "safe" campuses less safe than already are.

people need to be empowered to protect themselves when necessary. the police cannot (are not obligated to) protect you when you are attacked.
they can take 10 mins or more to respond.

GUNS on college campuses what a joke!! Alcohol and guns do not mix !!! and what gives anyone the right to determine whos life gets taken!!! Leave it for the police to carry gun!!!

First, I want to say I am Pro-Gun. I've owned guns for over 30 years. Your question as to do we leave guns into campus's can be considered vague. While our young go to war and become law enforcement at a very young age, enabling untrained handlers of weapons into a campus can cause bigger problems. Quite a few states do not engage in proper training of firearms. With just a mere DL, you can purchase a gun. With that being said, there are ways of implanting better protection into scenarios like a campus. For instance, we have had Air-Marshals in Airliners. They sit covert and incognito to others and never engage until necessary. Do they work? I think so... knowing of a presence and not seeing them sends a message to people on board. The innocent may feel safer while the terrorists have second thoughts. Along the same concept as these marshals, we can have embedded highly trained tactical officers, (volunteered or paid or both), or at the least, trained teachers, students, etc... installed into the campus.. Nobody has to know whom they exactly are. Just have them and to know they exist. Hope you understand this concept. It will bring trained people that will act accordingly without handing guns to people that may use them out of anger or brandish them without meaning. Instill fear into the evil with simple information and leave a feel of safety among the residing innocent. Just my humble thoughts and opinions.. - John

The entire "GUN FREE ZONE" is simply a target rich environment for evil people. All it says is that people who obey the law will not carry a weapon into the zone. Criminals do not obey the law, and thus will do what they want, when they want.

The school systems have created victims. They do not teach fighting back, they teach kneeling and dying.

I carry daily, and I will not give up my freedom or my rights.

I stand by the second ammendment. However, we can't drink and drive. Read Big Johns' answer, it's so on the money!! My 17 yr old daughter just inlisted in the Marine Core. Is she crazy? maybe. She'd like to make a difference. There are so many pros and cons. Colleges should- PAY GOOD Money for the safety of these young adults. Stop laying off good security, put more in place!! Start teaching Safety on guns, and train to protect themselves and each other. Good luck with this one.
