Jim Parsons Unveils His Inner Nerd On 'The Big Bang Theory'

He plays Sheldon, the nerdiest of nerds on The Big Bang Theory--Jim Parsons came by to talk about starring in the popular TV show.
The show stars Parsons and Johnny Galecki as Leonard, two brilliant physicists who understand how the universe works, but fail to comprehend the skills necessary for human interaction--especially with women. When a free-spirited beauty named Penny moves in next door, Sheldon is unperturbed and remains content spending his nights playing Klingon Boggle with their socially dysfunctional friends. Leonard, however, sees Penny's arrival into his life as being full of romantic possibilities.
Parsons graduated with a BA in theater from the University of Houston. His television credits include a recurring role in the series Judging Amy, and a guest starring appearance in Ed. His feature film credits include Garden State, Heights, 10 Items or Less and School for Scoundrels. He currently resides in Brooklyn.
The Big Bang Theory airs Mondays at 8 pm on CBS.

I have known Jim since 1980 and considers myself as an honorary aunt. His family is special and Jim has always shown a side of Sheldon. He was always a very gifted person, but as a close friend, we sometimes would refer to him as a smarty or nerdy type without being cruel. It was just Jim. Now, with The Big Bang Theory Jim has found his nitch. I think Sheldon will be imortalized, but hope it does not keep other good scripts from coming his way. He is a loving and gifted friend and I look forward to seeing him every week after watching him struggle for so many years. Why it took the media so long to find out how great he is, is a great mystery to me and my family.
Love to Jim,
Red and Vicki Brown
Jim is so cool and funny, love his show and hope everything works fine in his future.
