Jill Hennessy Crosses Over Into Music, Talks About Movie 'Lymelife'

Actress Jill Hennessy of Crossing Jordan and Law and Order fame stopped by the studio to talk about her new movie Lymelife and her debut album Ghost In My Head due in June.
Set in 1970s Long Island, the film revolves around young Scott Bartlett and his family as they deal with a community outbreak of Lyme Disease, divorce and a son being shipped off to war. Making his life even more complicated are his feelings toward girl next door Adrianna, who seems to be the only person who understands him due to her troubled home life. Adrianna is dealing with a mother who is having an affair while her father is slowly dying from Lyme Disease. Hennessy's co-stars include Alec Baldwin, Cynthia Nixon, Timothy Hutton and Emma Roberts.
Hennessy's album Ghost In My Head promises to have "sort of an alternative, folk kind of feel with little shades of country every once in a while," according to her interview with Creators.com. Influenced by singers like Tracy Chapman, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and Alicia Keys, Hennessy's songs are about things that keep her up at night, like a serious news story about death tolls int he Middle East.
Lymelife open in theaters Friday, April 17. For more on her album, visit www.myspace.com/jillhennessy or jillhennessy.com.
