Martha Graham Dance Company Revives Her Final Work 'Clytemnestra'

dance0428.jpg

Our own Larry Hoff joins the Martha Graham Dance Company to kick off their spring season in New York City. He’ll learn how to move with style and grace from the pros. Hoff will also be performing with teens from their Teens@Graham Initiative.

The Martha Graham Dance Company is celebrating its New York season from May 12th through 16th at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at NYU.

The company will be performing Clytemnestra, Graham's only full length ballet. It was the last dance Martha Graham ever choreographed for herself and it has not been performed in New York for 15 years. Martha Graham's Clytemnestra premiered at the Adelphi Theater in New York City on April 1, 1958. Clytemnestra is about rebirth and redemption.
