Alyssa Milano Dishes On Her Baseball Obsession In 'Safe At Home'

Bombshell actress Alyssa Milano has penned a book all about her obsession with baseball, entitled Safe at Home: Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic.
The work tells the story about her lifelong obsession with baseball, revealing what the game has meant to her and why everyone should take a chance on nine innings. The story begins with Milano's father: a native Brooklynite who scorned the Dodgers for abandoning the city he loved, he was reunited with the team when he and his young daughter moved out west for a TV show called Who's the Boss, which, as it turns out, would be the definitive start of Milano's acting career.
Milano stresses the important theme that baseball connects you to your past. Through her own personal struggles in the limelight as a child actor, the sport has been a comforting constant in her life. Milano gives a fan's perspective on the heart-ache, headache, and joy that make every baseball season worth following, bringing a fresh and wry female perspective to our country's favorite pasttime.
Milano has been the star of such iconic TV shows as Who's the Boss and Charmed. Today she continues to act and produce, while also running Touch, the sports-clothing line for women that she founded. In addition, she is a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF and the lead ambassador for Global Network. She lives in Los Angeles, California.
Safe at Home: Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic is in bookstores today.

Where was she signing her book today 4/1/09?
I believe it is at Book Revue on New York Ave in Huntington.
Alyssa Milano is a real baseball fan. Not a celebrity phony baseball fan. She is a season ticket holder at Dodger Stadium and is seen there as often as her schedule allows.
The store for her line of women's baseball fashions, "Touch" is on the Excelsior Level at Citi Field. I went through it during the exhibition games vs. Boston on April 3 and 4, 2009.
Alyssa also has an intriguing baseball Blog on mlb.com. Interesting take on things in baseball.
Hope to read her book, "Safe At Home."
Even though she is a Los Angeles Dodgers fan, she still feels a connection with New York and our New York Mets.
