Adrienne Shelly's Legacy Lives On Through Andy Ostroy

Adrienne Shelly was a writer and actress who captured the hearts and minds of audiences everywhere in the 2006 film Waitress. After she was murdered in her West Village apartment in 2006, her legacy lives on through the help of her producer husband Andy Ostroy.
Ostroy is the co-producer of Serious Moonlight, which was written by Shelly before her death. The film is directed by Curb Your Enthusiasm's Cheryl Hines. Similar to the quirky setup of Waitress, Shelly's final project tells the story of a powerful female attorney who finds out that her husband is about to leave her for another woman. She responds by ducttaping him to the toilet. Her plan is interrupted when robbers invade the house. Ostroy is also producing Morgan's Story, another screenplay left behind by the prolific Shelly.
An Ebay auction to benefit the Adrienne Shelly Foundation (ASF) starts today, running through April 16. Items being auctioned include passes to the Tribeca premiere and party of Cheryl Hines' Serious Moonlight (pictured) and lunches with Waitress stars Keri Russell and Nathon Fillon. You can catch Serious Moonlight premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 25th.
