Bombshell actress Alyssa Milano has penned a book all about her obsession with baseball, entitled Safe at Home: Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic.
The work tells the story about her lifelong obsession with baseball, revealing what the game has meant to her and why everyone should take a chance on nine innings. The story begins with Milano's father: a native Brooklynite who scorned the Dodgers for abandoning the city he loved, he was reunited with the team when he and his young daughter moved out west for a TV show called Who's the Boss, which, as it turns out, would be the definitive start of Milano's acting career.
Milano stresses the important theme that baseball connects you to your past. Through her own personal struggles in the limelight as a child actor, the sport has been a comforting constant in her life. Milano gives a fan's perspective on the heart-ache, headache, and joy that make every baseball season worth following, bringing a fresh and wry female perspective to our country's favorite pasttime.
Milano has been the star of such iconic TV shows as Who's the Boss and Charmed. Today she continues to act and produce, while also running Touch, the sports-clothing line for women that she founded. In addition, she is a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF and the lead ambassador for Global Network. She lives in Los Angeles, California.
Safe at Home: Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic is in bookstores today.

Flo Rida Spins Us 'Right Round' With His Infectious Grooves

He captured our attention with the infectious and entrancing hit, "Right Round": rap superstar Flo Rida stopped by live in our studio to perform the track, along with his new single, "Sugar."
Flo Rida first shattered digital sales of his first album "Mail on Sunday," which was released a year ago. He continues his record-breaking streak with his newest effort, R.O.O.T.S. The album features cameos by the likes of Ne-Yo, Nelly Furtado, Akon, and Wyclef Jean. "Right Round" sold over 636,000 downloads in its first week, also making it the highest digital single debut ever. The track also became the fastest million-selling digital song ever, reaching platinum status in just two weeks.
The title R.O.O.T.S. is an acronym for "Route Of Overcoming The Struggle" and was inspired by Flo Rida's 2008 trip to Africa for the MTV Africa Music Awards.
Born Tramar Dillard, Flo Rida was raised alongside seven sisters by his single mother in Carol City, one of the roughest neighborhoods in Miami. Alluding to his early struggles, he says on his official website: "My trip [to Africa] was eye-opening. I was aware of all the struggles that Africans go though...It also made me think about my own struggles and the adversity I had to face growing up in the projects...This album gives my fans a chance to know me as a person, prior to my success. With that said, I still have a lot of party joints that complement it all, making R.O.O.T.S. a well-rounded album."
R.O.O.T.S. is in stores now.

Looks can truly be decieving. Flo Rida may look all tough, buff and tattooed-up, but he's really a teddy bear. He's so soft spoken and so not a diva (or is it divo for dudes?). I know I would be sooo full of myself if I had the number one song in the country. I guess that's why I don't and Flo Rida does and I looooove the song...I'm sure you do too its the song Right Round from his new album R.O.O.T.S in stores now. It's playing in my head now: you spin my head right, round, right round...ok, I need to stop.
You know how they say behind every great/successful man is a great woman, right? Well, I think his work is pretty great and he's successful and since there's no woman behind him that I know of, I had to find out what he's looking for in a mate.
So all the single ladies need to listen up. First he said the person has to be God-fearing. And, has to enjoy working out and staying in shape; okay, that right there completely rules me out because I haven't been to the gym in forever...So check out Flo Rida as he gets GRILLED and find out more about his likes and dislikes. Who knows? You could be the one. And hopefully I'll get some kind of compensation for my contribution. Just throwing that out there.

GRILLED: Kevin Hart

Maybe I'm not the authority when it comes to discovering talent, but I personally think that Kevin Hart is one of the funniest comics around. I felt like I was at a comedy show because I never laughed so hard. As far as I can remember, at least.
I love him (not like that) although he refused to talk to me at first. He said that I'm too tall and he wasn't comfortable standing next to me. He said he would speak to me if I took off my heels. I did tell him that even without my shoes I'm still 5ft 11inches so it won't really make a difference.
I knew he was just joking aorund. He pokes a lot of fun at himself and makes a lot of short jokes (at his expense ofcourse). But whatever Kevin Hart lacks in the height department, he truly makes up for in talent. And that's no joke.

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all doing well. I'm at Week 21 and let's just say it's going to be a big one. We had our first fetal sonogram and things are looking great. The heart, the spine, the liver, the brain -- everything is on track.
The baby is also off the charts when it comes to weight. It weighs 1 pound and 2 ounces. Yikes! All I kept thinking during that sonogram was, "I hope I have the strength to push this baby out come August."
As for the week, it's been challenging. I was sick for the first time and took some time off. It's strange not being able to take a dose of anything. And this baby has been so good to me that I really can't complain.
Other than that, we are doing great! Oh, I've offically given up my regular pants and into maternity pants. All I have to say: why was I fighting it? :)
Keep your e-mails coming. I look forward to reading all of them.

Olympus. Upon being released from a mental institution--to which he was sent for his persistent antics--he is ordered to attend her singles group therapy sessions on a regular basis.

Question Of The Day: What Do You Think About North Korea's Rocket Launch?
5 Foods That Are Still Good After Their "Sell By Date"

The average family of four throws out nearly 122 pounds of food per month. However, many common perishables, including these staples, remain perfectly safe as long as a week (or even months!) past their sell-by date when stored properly, which is 40 degrees Fahrenheit or below. Always rely on your own senses-sight, smell, and touch-for signs of spoilage. The folks at Prevention say: When in doubt, throw it out!
Here with five foods that keep longer than you may think is executive editor of Prevention Magazine Courtenay Smith.
MILK
Longevity: 1 week past sell-by date
Freshness Tip: Hit the dairy aisle right before checking out to minimize the amount of time milk is left unrefrigerated, and store it on a shelf pushed far back, where the air is coldest. Closer to the fridge door tends to be warmer. And if it smells bad, it’s bad.

Kissing and hugging on the first date is totally cool. That's according to Cupid. I'm not talking about the naked little angel with the bow and arrow. He's usually naked, right? Or am I making this up? Why do I feel like I've seen his butt cheeks in pictures? or was he wearing diapers?
I'm not sure, but it doesn't matter for now; I'll investigate cupid's clothing choices later. I was referring to Bobby Cannavale. He plays Cupid in the new ABC show of the same name. I figured since he's spreading love on his new show, I'd get a few pointers by sneaking in some questions like what he thought about love at first sight, and what type of women he prefers. Again, I didn't make the cut. Check out his GRILLED video to find a little bit more about this real-life cupid.

Being an active girl isn't always as glamorous as it sounds. Athlete's foot, bruised toe nails and frayed hair never go good with that little black dress. That's why Shape Magazine has the best pro pointers and products to beat your workout woes.
BEAT THE BACK-NE
Acne on your back, chest, and butt is often caused by sweaty clothing rubbing against your skin and if you carry a golf bag or wear padded shorts on a bike, you're almost sure to trigger a flare-up.
Treat It - One of the best remedies for a body breakout is a daily vinegar rinse. The acetic acid in vinegar helps kill off blemish-producing bacteria. Add one tablespoon of white table vinegar to a quart of warm water, sponge down the affected area, and rinse in the shower. At night, apply a benzoyl peroxide cream. If you don't see an improvement within three weeks, see your dermatologist.
Prevent It - Showering after exercising is the key to fending off breakouts. Waiting too long after a workout gives bacteria a chance to grow. Try lathering up with an antimicrobial cleanser, such as Hibiclens Antiseptic/Antimicrobial Skin Cleanser ($13; drugstore.com). Washes with pore-unclogging salicylic acid, such as Murad Acne Body Wash ($40; sephora.com), are also effective.

Hi Everybody.
Week 22 and feeling great!
I felt the baby move this week and it was an incredible experience. It was a slight flutter and I truly didn't know what the heck was going on but when I put two and two together, it all made sense. It's kind of crazy thing because I know I'm pregnant, but it's not until you see a sonogram or feel that baby that you become totally connected again to this wonderful thing happening to you. My husband also got a chance to feel the baby move. He thought it was gas:) LOL.
Other than that, nothing really to report. The baby is getting bigger and my cravings for Carvel Sundaes continue to grow stronger and stronger each day:)
I hope you all have a Happy Easter and Passover.

Installation of New Archbishop Timothy Dolan Explained

The New York Archdiocese, serves over 2.5 million parishioners and later today, Timothy Dolan will be installed as its leader. Here to shed some light on the retirement of Cardinal Edward Egan what can be expected from the Dolan, the 10th archbishop appointed by Pope Benedict XVI is Reverend Jean-Pierre Ruiz, chair and professor of theology and religious studies at St. John's University.
Egan said his greatest disappointment was not attracting more vocations to the priesthood. Rev. Ruiz said that Dolan may want to focus his attention there.
Dolan stated he will ask Catholics not to be so consumed by their problems in these difficult times that they turn inward and away from the community. Still, he said he struggles with how best to convey Catholic teaching. Dolan said that as archbishop he plans to challenge the idea that the Roman Catholic Church is unenlightened because it opposes gay marriage and abortion. He also said he will work to restore pride in the church. Dolan also stated that Catholics also must defend themselves against bias, which he said was still deeply ingrained in American culture.

He has also proposed the Neighborhood Preservation Act to combat this. The proposed law would allow municipalities to clean up unsightly foreclosures, issue violations and recoup the costs from the lending institution. The bill has cleared the State Senate and is now before an Assembly committee.

Hi Everyone,
We're two-thirds of the way there! Week 23 is here and I'm really starting to show. Dr. Steve even commented today on how I just suddenly popped out.
The pregnancy on the whole has been great, but I have to tell you but I am feeling more tired than I ever have. Maybe the baby is getting me used to sleep depravation. LOL
I even went out and bought that body pillow. I'm a stomach sleeper so this is going to be fun trying to readjust. I just started having dreams of my baby saying, "Get me outta here. You are crushing me in your tummy, mommy" :) That is not what I want to do.
Other than that, plans are under way for the baby shower and I recently just registered. That was a mind blowing experienece. There were too many choices but, luckily, I had a great person with me named Jessica at BuyBuy Baby who helped me out.
Take care everyone and have a great weekend.

The April issue of Discover Magazine discusses the science of invisibility cloaks, uncover the hidden risks of eating fish and reveal how to bring a dinosaur back to life — it just takes $30 million and one chicken. Corey Powell of Discovery Magazine was here to explain more.
• Scientists Build Harry Potter-like Invisibility Cloaks
Physicist know how to make a person or an object invisible: grab a ray of light from the backside of an object, wrap around the object, and then send it on its way as if the object wasn’t there at all.
Now, invisibility cloaks are a reality. Recently, David Smith, an experimental physicist at the University of California at San Diego constructed a prototype cloak that block out microwaves. By the summer, Smith believes someone will build one that can obstruct light. Such a device could hide a person— or a tank, or a military jet.
Other applications of the invisibility cloak include building better computers and DVDs, improving cancer treatments and airport security, and constructing countertop food factories.

That’s why Ultra Motor developed the A2B, a state-of-the-art electric bike that is changing the way consumers think about getting from Point A to Point B.
The A2B offers a cheaper, greener alternative to the car for short trips. Some of its features include allowing riders to choose between pedaling and using electric power, and a combination of both. The battery lasts for up to 20 miles at a cruising speed of 20 mph, offering the ability to power up hills without breaking a sweat.
Ultra Motor CEO Chris Deyo stopped by to talk about why the A2B is an innovative approach to improving our environment without sacrificing the speed and convenience of traveling by car. He also brought a model of the A2B on-hand to demonstrate its capabilities live.

Actor Thomas Lennon stopped by to talk about his role as Ned Gold in the new film 17 Again and his role as Lt. Jim Dangle on the hit Comedy Central series Reno 911!. Lennon's 17 Again co-stars Michelle Trachtenberg (Gossip Girl) and Melora Hardin (Hannah Montana: The Movie) stopped by earlier to talk about the film as well.
In 17 Again, Matthew Perry plays Mike O'Donnell, a man who is pushing forty and whose glory days are way behind him: his marriage has fallen apart; he has been passed over for a promotion at work, and his kids think he's a loser. O'Donnell is miraculously given a second chance to relive his hey days when he is transformed back to his 17-year old self, played by Zac Efron. Lennon's character Ned is O'Donnell's best friend, who poses as his father so O'Donnell could be admitted to high school. Ned himself develops a crush on the school principal, played by Hardin.
Reno 911! centers on the goings on of a group of deputies at the Reno Sheriff's Department. The show deals heavily in politically-incorrect humor, with jokes about race, sexual orientation, drug and alcohol abuse, and rape. Only the basic plot elements of the show are scripted; the dialogue is improvised, Lennon's lead role as Lt. Jim Dangle goes by the personal motto, "Work hard, play hard," and believes that "preparedness is the most effective weapon...unless the guy has a bike chain."
An Illinois native, Lennon attended NYU and afterwards joined a sketch comedy group called The New Group, which later developed into the comedy group The State. He has recently had parts in I Love You, Man and Hancock. Aside from acting, Lennon is also a screenwriter, having penned films such as Herbie: Fully Loaded, Night at the Museum, and Balls of Fury.
17 Again is in theaters now and Reno 911! airs Wednesdays at 10:30pm on Comedy Central.

So Fonsworth Bentley transforms G's to Gents, right? But would he ever transform some gals to G's...I should have asked him that. Not that I want to totally go gangsta, but a little swagger wouldn't hurt though. It would definitely help my street cred. My non-existent street cred.
I wouldn't dare ask him though, he's too suave for some of my cracked out questions...or he might just think it's funny. He does have a sense of humor afterall. Oh and speaking of funny; I asked him who his favorite actress is. He couldn't think of her name...it took him a while, he even called in re-enforcement and finally we got it...I couldn't figure it out because I thought he said "the mum" in the movie but he said "the nun". Anyways, watch Fonsworth Bentley's GRILLED video to see who his favorite actress is and also how he really feels about his girlfriend.

Channing Tatum's favorite quality in a woman? A sense of humor. My heart leapt for joy because I'm kinda funny (or so I've been told), but then reality struck and my poor little heart sped back down. Why? Well, he's engaged and that just kills it for me and every other woman out there. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he possibly has a brother, or an uncle, heck, maybe his grandpa is single. What? I'm trying to think positive.
But honestly, he is so so so nice and down to earth, especially for someone as good looking and talented as himself. I'm still not sure he knows how good he looks, maybe he does know and was just raised right.
You can't help but love him. If you don't believe me, watch the GRILLED video, but don't blame me if you start day dreaming about him. You can't say I didn't warn you. Go ahead and get charmed by Channing...

Suki: This Baby Book Is Great Resource

Hi Everyone,
It's Week 24 and, well, I'm starting to panic a little. So many things have to be crossed off that check list and well I think I've done two :)
I had a slight panic attack yesterday but, luckily, I was able to just get over it mostly because I received this amazing book from Parenting and Babytalk. I've been very apprehensive about reading too much about pregnancy and didn't want to psyche myself out. But when this book came across my desk, I had to pick it up.
The book is from the editors of The Babytalk Insider's Guide to Your Baby's First Year and it truly has been a Godsend. It kind of helps you think about your parenting style, breast feeding and just so many other things that I have not thought about. I recommend it because it doesn't just preach just one technique.
Other than that, things are going on very well. Six months and counting and, boy, is it going by fast. Hope you have a great weekend and I'll talk to you soon.

Saddle up! It's opening day at Belmont Park in Queens and our Lisa Mateo is gearing up for the famous Triple Crown. She'll learn how to make the Belmont Breeze, the signature drink of the Belmont Stakes (Saturday, June 6) from its creator Dale Degroff the "King of Cocktails."
DeGroff is the founder and president of the Museum of the American Cocktail and author of The Essential Cocktail: The Art of Mixing Perfect Drinks. The drink is a nod to the 19th century tradition of serving whisky and mint drinks at the racetracks. DeGroff’s version uses bourbon as the base spirit and Dry Sack, a versatile medium dry Spanish sherry that imparts a soft fragrant nutty flavor. A mixture of orange, cranberry and lemon juices provides refreshing fruit flavors. (Check out the recipes after the jump).
The road to the Triple Crown of horse racing may start in Kentucky on May 2nd but the finish line is in New York with The Belmont Stakes on June 6th. If you don’t have tickets for the track, just throw your own "Day at the Races" party at home. Lisa will then learn how to throw a great Triple Crown Party and get a tour of the Winner's Circle.
You can watch the races at Belmont Park, 2150 Hempstead Turnpike, Elmont, NY 11003. For more information, visit the New York Horse Racing Association at www.nyra.com.

There's Nothing 'Ugly" About Eric Mabius

Eric Mabius came by to talk about being on the hit show Ugly Betty.
The show stars America Ferrera as the sweet, intelligent, and hardworking--albeit fashionably challenged--Betty Suarez. She is hired to be a part of premier fashion magazine Mode as the assistant of Mabius' Daniel Meade. As they battle the cunning ways of diva fashionista Wilhelmina Slater in her attempts to take over the magazine, Daniel and Betty form an unlikely team, each helping the other navigate the choppy waters of NYC's fashion scene.
Upon graduating from Sarah Lawrence College, Mabius delved into his first roles in theatre in smaller Off-Broadway productions. Embodying dark and troubled characters in some projects and heroic leading men in others, Mabius has built an impressive career resume that includes more than 25 films and over a dozen television projects. His credits on the big and small screens include Resident Evil, appearances on The O.C., The L Word, Cruel Intentions, and Welcome to the Dollhouse.

Nancy O'Dell Tells Us Why She's So 'Full Of Life'

Access Hollywood host Nancy O'Dell came by to talk about her new work of literature, entitled Full of Life: Mom-to-Mom Tips I Wish Someone Had Told Me When I Was Pregnant .
The idea for the book came to O'Dell while she was pregnant, and found herself wondering why no one, for instance, informed her of how red dots might appear on her chest in the third trimester or how her calves would swell too much for those cute new boots.
Now that her own little bundle has arrived, O'Dell shares candid observations and motherly advice that will help other expectant mothers prepare for all those spontaneous itches, emotions, skin changes, and cramps that, if one is not prepared, could lead to awkward and embarrassing scenarios. She also shares her mother's delicious spice cake recipe with prunes, for those constipated days. Full of Life is the perfect publication for expecting mothers who want to be prepared for every bump they might encounter during their pregnancy--from a mother who has been there herself.
Catch O'Dell on Access Hollywood weeknights on NBC. Full of Life: Mom-to-Mom Tips I Wish Someone Had Told Me When I Was Pregnant is in bookstores now.
