Olivia Palermo Has Got 'The City' In The Palm Of Her Hand

She's on MTV's new hit reality show, The City--Olivia Palermo spoke with us about the popular show and dished about her co-stars.

The show is a spinoff of The Hills. In The City, star Whitney Port leaves the "hills" of Los Angeles, California to pursue a new job at a global design house, Diane Von Furstenberg in Manhattan. Coupled with a best friend from her past and a guy she's head-over-heels for, Port is taking a huge chance at a brand new life. New friends and blossoming romances, Port finds herself basking in the excitement offered by her new locale, all the while learning important lessons about who to trust and who to be suspicious of.

Palermo is Port's "frenemy" of sorts. A native of the Upper East Side, the socialite is accustomed to the A-list lifestyle, from attending a steady stream of society parties, charity events, and celebrity galas, to hosting her own famed rooftop dinner parties. Like Port, she is also working for Diane von Furstenberg. In and out of the office, Palermo frequently finds her uptown sensibility clashing with Port's downtown vibe. She is undoubtedly teaching Port a thing or two about life in the city.
