It amazes me how good the animals look for being accused of being mistreated. I don't believe for one minute that the animals are abused in anyway. The circus has been around for 100 years, and animals can not perform like the animals do if they were not well cared for. My understanding is they have a vet available 24/7. I think people need to get their facts straight and also go to the circus to see for themselves.
From reading the other comment it seems that someone else commented on how circus animals suffer in captivity. However I'm not seeing that other comment anywhere and I assume that it was deleted. Anyway...whether or not it has been proved that Ringling abuses its animals, I am not certain, but there are many videos out on how workers in other circuses poke and prod animals with metal rods to force them to perform tricks. These animals do not naturally perform these kinds of tricks. These animals are taken away from the wild, they are denied their freedom. They travel many miles cramped up in little cages. For social creatures such as elephants, they are taken away from their families. I would not want to be kidnapped from my family to live in a prison and be made to perform tricks for others' amusement.
Go to Youtube Molly. you must obviously attend the circus and not care and know any better to defend such slavery.
