Friday Forecaster: Steve Wilkos

steve0320.jpg

This week's Friday Forecaster is Steve Wilkos of the CW's The Steve Wilkos Show. He stopped by to give us the forecast and tell us about his guest appearance on an upcoming episode of Maury, and his two-part teen fourm.

Wilkos successfully stepped away from Jerry Springer's shadow to make a name for himself and with the second season of his show underway, Steve Wilkos is doing more than just "talk" as he continues to dedicate his time to changing lives.

Wilkos was formerly Springer's director of security. He got his foot in the door on The Jerry Springer Show with his own shows Steve To The Rescue, which would air periodically when Springer took breaks from the show. In his own show, WIlkos' signature move is being confrontational with the wrongdoer in order for him to realize his error.

The Steve Wilkos Show airs weekdays at 12pm on PIX. For more information, visit www.stevewilkos.com. And Maury airs weekdays at 10am on PIX For more information, visit www.mauryshow.com.

You know, I am having a really hard time understanding how the networks think that this mans rants and tantrums can be good viewing. Here is a man that seems to have no skills or tools to deal with the matters he tries to remedy. In fact, I think that a large percent of the audience would be able to do what he does with the same level of success. When he gets into his moods and starts renovating the furniture layout, loses his composure when people say things that make sense and disgraces people into staying on the stage until the end of the show, these things are all signs if a disturbed man. You know what, I would like to see hom take a lie detector test, and answer questions like:
1. Do you have any training in psychology?
2. Have you ever commited adultry?
3. When you were a police officer, did you ever take a bribe?
4. Have you ever taken drugs?
5. Have you ever had sexual contact with a minor?

I think you get the point. Here we have a man that we entrust the mental well being of our families and friends with, that seems to know nothing about resolving these issues. Anger management problems are obvious and, he puts 100% of his faith in his lie detector findings which, incidently, are not admissable in courts from what I understand. Lets put him in the lie detector chair and find out who he really is. How many skeletons are in his closet.
But..... this is just my opinion.
