EVENT DETAILS AND VIDEO AFTER THE JUMP...

28th Annual Making Brooklyn Bloom Growing Up Green: Guiding Youth from Gardening to Green-Collar Jobs
Saturday, March 7 from 10am to 4pm
Location: 1000 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn

The annual community horticulture event and spring gardening kickoff day here at the Garden (upcoming on Saturday). This year's theme is "Growing Up Green: Guiding Youth From Gardening to Green-Collar Jobs," and is full of hands-on workshops, dynamic exhibitors, short films and more to help encourage New Yorkers towards the greening of their communities-- particularly through engaging youth in gardening, and growing their own food! Most importantly, attendees can walk away with some really cool free stuff-from basil plants to help jumpstart spring gardening, to granola they make themselves, to miniature worm bins for indoor composting!
PRICE: Free with flyer downloadable from www.bbg.org/vis2/2009/mbb.

FedEx Office Print 25 Résumé Copies For Free
FedEx Office will provide free résumé printing services to its customers on March 10. FedEx Corp. President Brian Philips says the Dallas-based subsidiary of Memphis-based FedEx, formerly known as FedEx Kinko's, wants to help people struggling in a failing economy. More than 1,600 locations nationwide will print up to 25 black and white copies of each customer's résumé free of charge. The orders must be placed and picked up in-store.
