allergy0331.jpg

In the springtime, when trees burst into leaf and flowers open, sneezing, sniffling, and itchy eyes are a way of life for millions and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) estimates that more than 50 million Americans suffer from allergies.

Dr. Fred Vagnini, medical director of the Heart, Diabetes and Weight Loss Centers of New York in Manhattan wants to help allergy sufferers welcome the coming of spring.

He provided some helpful tips for viewers to strengthen their immune system, prevent spring allergies before they start and find relief in the event they do experience allergy symptoms.

Some of Dr. Vagnini's helpful tips to prevent and alleviate allergies include the following:
1. Keep windows closed during the day
2. Getting more sleep
3. Antihistamines and decongestants
4. Herbal remedies
5. Allergy shots
6. Nutrients to reduce histamine levels

Can you write the names of the natural vitamins not able to read all the labels from screen for sinus. From the talk show this morning 3/31/2009. I take natural vitamins & fish oils & omega 3,6,9 so I would like to build up my immuine system. I get horrible sinus infections & nasty headaches. Please can you advise me of natural things. I hate prescription medicine & over the counter drugs.. I do have asthma & take fish oil for that its great. I did get hooked on it my inhaler. I try not to use it anymore...Its a horrible feeling to need medicine to breath.

Thank you,
Roseann
