Raspberry Angel Food Cake Tower
1 (16-ounce) container frozen nondairy whipped topping, thawed
3 tablespoons raspberry-flavored liqueur (or 1 teaspoon raspberry extract)
1 purchased (10- to 12- ounce) angel food cake, sliced into 3 even layers
2 (1/2-pint) packages fresh raspberries
Garnish: fresh raspberries

In a large bowl, whisk together whipped topping and raspberry-flavored liqueur. Spread whipped topping and raspberry-flavored liqueur. Spread whipped topping evenly on top of 2 cake layers. Place raspberries evenly on top of whipped topping. Stack whipped topping layers on top of each other. Top with remaining layer (with no whipped topping). Garnish with fresh raspberries, if desired. Serve immediately.

Easy Beef Stew
1 (3 pound) beef chuck tender roast
1 (14.5 ounce) cans diced fire roasted tomatoes, Hunts
3 cups frozen country-style hash browns, Ore-Ida
2 cups frozen peas and carrots
1 ½ cups frozen yellow corn
1 cup frozen chopped corn
3 cups beef broth
1 (.87 ounce) package brown gravy mix, McCormick.
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
*French bread optional

1. In a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker, combine roast, tomatoes, hash browns, peas and carrots, corn and onion
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together broth, gravy mix, salt, and pepper; add to roast mixture. Cover, and cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours, or until beef is tender. Serve with French bread, if desired.

What liquid is whisked with the gravy mix, etc...

This was so good. I made it on Saturday, February 28, 2009. I did add some chopped garlic, rosemary, thyme and worcheshire sauce to the recipe. I love using my crock pot to make delicious meals.
