HAIR DYING TIPS AND VIDEO AFTER THE JUMP...

Blondes
Blondes should typically stick to strawberry shades of red, as they will be more comfortable with the transition. You could always go with a deeper shade of red later. Strawberry is more natural and should work with their skin-tone. (you may need to adjust your current make-up palette to compliment the new color).

Model Nicole's hair was naturally dirty-blonde with lighter blonde high-lights. Colorist Lisa Estridge gave Nicole and rich strawberry was and brightened the look around her face with lighter strawberry high-lights.

Brunettes
Brunettes are the most difficult color to turn red and the most difficult to pull-off a natural look.
Eliut suggests auburn or copper highlights or a combination of the two to achieve a more natural look and to avoid damaging the hair.

Model Jackie's hair was deep brunette with natural auburn highlights. Estridge bumped-up the auburn shades and added copper highlights to soften her color. The look is less harsh and works beautifully with her skin tone.

Red-Heads
With natural red-heads, the sky is the limit… you can opt for lighter strawberry highlights, copper highlights, auburn tones or a vibrant red.

Model Jennifer's hair was naturally medium red. Estridge gave her a rich red wash that is more vibrant and more fun. She can easily pull-off the look with her light skin-tone.
