molly0209.jpg

Molly Ringwald spoke with Emily about the popular new show, The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

Deemed "funny, serious, and everything in between" by The New York Post, the show focuses on the relationships between families and friends dealing with the unexpected pregnancy of character Amy Juergens, portrayed by Shailene Woodley. Ringwald plays Amy's loving mother, Anne Juergens.

At the ripe age of thirteen, Ringwald began her career in Paul Mazursky's "The Tempest," for which she garnered a Golden Globe nod. She has also starred in coming-of-age movies such as Sixteen Candles and Pretty in Pink.

The Secret Life of the American Teenager airs Mondays at 8pm on ABC Family.
