Judy Gold And Company Defy Inequality To Benefit Equal Rights
Jewish stand-up comedienne and actress Judy Gold stopped by the studio to talk about co-hosting the Defying Inequality: The Broadway Concert, A Celebrity Benefit for Equal Rights on Monday, February 23 at 8pm in the Gershwin Theatre.
All of the evening's proceeds will be donated directly to Family Equality Council, Empire State Pride Agenda, Equality California, Garden State Equality, and The Vermont Freedom to Marry Task Force -- five charitable organizations working to promote equality and protect civil rights for the gay and lesbian community.
The show features over 200 Broadway stars and includes Harvey Fierstein, Jonathan Groff, Nathan Lane, Cameron Mathison, Rue McClanahan, David Hyde Pierce, Tamara Tunie and Michael Urie. The show will also feature cast members from "The Little Mermaid," "Mary Poppins," "Spring Awakening," "Wicked," Saturday Night Live and Sesame Street.
