Harlem Globetrotters Whip Up Some Pancakes At IHOP

harlem0205.jpg

Harlem Globetrotters players Wildkat Edgerson and Buckets Blakes will be cooking breakfast for 25 kids from PS 175 Henry H. Garnet (grades 1-5) at the IHOP on 135th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. beginning at 7am (though the players would obviously be there earlier for you).

The kids selected (by their principal) have perfect attendance and have demonstrated great character over the first half of the school year-both of which are key components of the Globetrotters C.H.E.E.R. program, which encourages Cooperation, Healthy mind and body, Effort, Enthusiasm and Responsibility.

Our own Lisa Mateo is with players this morning talking about the C.H.E.E.R program and show us how to make Globetrotter-style pancakes. She'll also talk to the young kids about how what motivated them to maintain perfect attendence.
