Thirty-one of our sworn-in CyberGuy deputies round-up the latest and greatest gadgets that feature breakthrough innovation that won’t break your bank.

With cameraman in two, Deputy Kazeem set out to show us the motionflow technology inside this flat Sony Bravia 52” LCD HDTV. It takes a lot to impress a computer-science whiz, but the 240 mHz motion of the Bravia did you that. And it definitely gained bonus points with its internet video playing ability.

Deputy Julien is a Physics student with a future in film, so we had him check out the http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=8198552921665736672">Sony HDR-XR520V, and he told us that its he future of high-def camcorders. The HD hard disk camcorder due out in March holds 92 hours of video and doubles as a 12MP still cam. Julien doesn’t even have to worry about hiring a Key Grip on his next movie, because new technology out from Sony allows the camera to see in low light.

We realized that journalism deputy Mark Adams was always taking extensive notes and researching facts on his phone. So we sent him to test new software released from Intel that allows Centrino 2 notebooks.

We found that many deputies wanted to share their digital photos online instantly. So we sent the cavalry to hunt down the CyberShot DSC-G3 DigiCam. The 10 MP, 3.5” wide touch panel digital camera has face detection and smile shutter technology. And it uploads wirelessly from the camera. Facebook will never be the same!
