Behind-The-Scenes Of The Mets' Spring Training

The Mets broke out the lumber for the first time as a team Thursday down in Port St. Lucie, Florida. PIX News At 10's Lolita Lopez was there as D-Wright, Carlos Delgado and Luis Castillo (among MANY others) took their hacks.
Lolita caught up with skipper Jerry Manuel and Delgado to get their thoughts on Day 1 of "Operation Offense." And she also spoke to new Mets relief pitcher J.J. Putz during Day 2 of training.
Be sure to read up on the latest sports headlines at www.wpix.com/thehuddle.

The New York Metropolitans had their first complete workout on Thursday February 19, 2009. Operation "selfless offense", as professed by Professor Jerry Manuel is preaching his philosophy on efficiency at the plate. The most beautiful and talented sports anchor in New York, Lolita Lopez, is doing her usual exceptional work in capturing the New York Mets Spring Training Camp in Port St. Lucie, Florida. We are enjoying Lolita's reports on the WPIX News at Ten and on the Channel 11 in New York website.
Lets Go Mets.....
and
Lets Go Lolita Lopez!!!
Living in New York City [Queens] I can only pray that this year brings glory to the Mets and therefore at least Queens, the home of the Mets.
