The Grace Institute Helps Women Find Jobs

grace0122.jpg

Unemployment rates may be at a high, but there is still hope for women who want to make a change in their lives. The Grace Institute is a non-profit organization that offers underserved women a 4 1/2 month job training program and job placement. And it's all for free!

They are gearing up for their Open House right now. Classes start Saturday, February 7 and there are still openings. The average student comes to Grace earning $6,000 per year without benefits, and after graduating they leave earning an average of $32k per year with benefits. They also have an 80% job placement rate.

Our own Lisa Mateo speaks with a recent graduate, current student and the executive director. For more information, visit www.graceinstitute.org.
