Jamal Woolard Stars As Notorious B.I.G. In New Biopic
Actor Jamal Woolard plays the title character in the new movie Notorious, which premieres today. Wollard's co-star Antonique Smith also stopped by the studio earlier this week to talk about her role as singer Faith Evans, the widow of The Notorious B.I.G.
The film tells the story of Christopher Wallace--the man who would later come to be known as the rapper, The Notorious B.I.G. Directed by George Tillman, Jr., this real-life story follows Wallace's transformation from a Brooklyn street hustler to one of the most celebrated rappers of all time. Notorious documents the rapper's rise to fame as he defies expectations and the conventions of fame.
Woolard also goes by the artist name "Gravy" and is also known for his hits "I Know, I Know" and "Murder, Murder," which led to a record deal with Warner Bros. Record in 2006. For more information on Notorious, visit www.foxsearchlight.com/notorious.
