Connie Britton Hypes Up 'Friday Night Lights'

CONNIE0115.jpg

Friday Night Lights star Connie Britton chatted with us about the show's upcoming third season.

Hailed as one of the top ten shows of 2006 by Time magazine and Entertainment Weekly, Friday Night Lights is an extension of the film and bestselling book of the same name. The series centers on the small rural town of Dillon, Texas, where the coveted state football championship rings are held in the highest regard. In the midst of it all, The Dillon Panthers struggle to make a name for themselves, gleaning victories but still looking ahead to an uncertain future. Britton plays a high school guidance counselor, Tami, who is married to Taylor Kitsch's reckless full back Tim Riggins.

Britton spent her early showbiz years in theatre, making her New York theatrical debut in Caroline Kava's "The Early Girl" at The Courtyard Playhouse. She had a regular role in Spin City, and was a recurring character on 24.

returns to NBC tomorrow at 9pm

Thank you for the interview... I love Connie Britton and Friday Night Lights... just as a heads up, in your write up about Connie, this is wrong:

"The Dillon Panthers struggle to make a name for themselves, gleaning victories but still looking ahead to an uncertain future. Britton plays a high school guidance counselor, Tami, who is married to Taylor Kitsch's reckless full back Tim Riggins."

She is not married to Taylor Kitsch's character on the show (he is IN high school). She is married to Kyle Chandler's Coach Eric Taylor. Thank you!
