Andy Serkis Talks About His New Film 'Inkheart'

andy0115.jpg

He's the critically acclaimed performer who's best known for lending his voice to Gollum in The Lords of the Rings trilogy and Kong in King Kong. Now Andy Serkis is back on the big screen with his new movie Inkheart, which opens nationwide on January 23.

The movie is about Mo Folchart (Brendan Fraser), who has the special talent to rise to life, export and release figures out of the page and into the real world, earning him the nickname "Silvertongue." One night he brings out three characters -- Capricorn (Serkis), Basta (Jamie Foreman) and Dustfinger (Paul Bettany) -- from Inkheart, a story set in medieval times and filled with magical beings. Now, a decade after Mo brought those characters to life, his daughter Meggie (Eliza Bennett) discovers what truly happened when those characters were released. Now it's up to her to escape Capricorn's evil grasp.
