Irish singer, instrumentalist and composer Enya spoke with PIX Morning News' Emily Frances about her new Christmas album, And Winter Came.
This latest effort comes 20 years after Enya's hit Watermark album, which put her on the map, and is her seventh studio album. With And Winter Came, Enya aims to evoke in the listener the aesthetics of the changing winter landscape, as well as the festive atmosphere of the holidays.
Known for her ethereal and soothing vocals, Enya -- sometimes referred to as Enya Brennan -- is one of the most successful female-artists of all-time. Her folk sound and haunting musical reverberations earned her multiple Grammy awards. She has sold more than 70 million albums worldwide, and is second only to U2 as the biggest-selling Irish artist in history.
