Avant Aims for "Something New" With His New Album
Multi-platinum R&B singer Avant came to PIX to promote his new, self-titled album, Avant. He performed "When it Hurts" live in our studio.
Born Myron Avant, the artist hails from Ohio and at the ripe age of 22, was the first artist signed to Magic Johnson's music label. His debut effort, My Thoughts, went platinum. He has also dabbled in acting in the 2004 film, BarberShop 2: Back in Business. He has recently performed for our troops in Iraq.
The aim in creating his new album was, according to Avant, to "create something new." Avantis available now. For more information, log onto www.avantmusic.net.
