2. Dessert Buffet
Scratch the idea of slaving away in your kitchen, instead make a patriotic dessert buffet! Check out these delicious cookies and cupcakes from Eleni's Bakery in Chelsea Market. ($36 for a dozen (12) cupcakes; $59.50 for 16 special election face cookies).
Click here for more on the Eleni's Bakery treats.
Mini Cheese Cakes: In strawberry, Blueberry, and Plain from Eileen's on Cleveland Place, available on Nov. 4th at $3.50 each.
Red, White and Blue Candy Display: Candy stars/gumballs/jellybeans/M&M's, etc - all from Economy Candy in the Lower East Side.
Chocolate Chip Cookies: OK, so they aren't red, white, and blue - but you can't get more American than a classic Chocolate Chip Cookie!
3. Favor Boxes
Last minute favor, take out boxes! Simply put out some Chinese take out boxes (tie a festive ribbon on the top if you have time), and encourage guests to bring some candy or treats to enjoy the next day!

4. Games
Pig Pinata with Lipstick: Stop by your local party store and pick up a piñata pig. Load it with your favorite candies: and don't forget the lipstick!
Presidential Trivia: Find some fun presidential trivia online and print it out on festive paper!
Pin the Tail/Trunk on the Donkey/ Elephant: Easy DIY project that will be a lot of fun for your guests!

5. End of the Party Toast
Celebrate in style and have some chilled bubbly (or sparkling grape juice) on hand to toast the next President of the United States. If your guy wins, pop the cork and celebrate in style. If you're on the losing side, make good use of the signature cocktails to drown your sorrows. Jazz it it up by adding blueberries if Obama wins, and raspberries if McCain wins.
