From Buenos Aires To Brooklyn, Tango Fire Burns Up The Dance Floor

tango1114a.jpg

Two dancers from Tango Fire will set our performance area on fire with the Argentine Tango. They are performing at Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College for the kickoff of its 2008-09 World of Dance series with the return of the Argentine company Tango Fire on Saturday, November 15 at 8pm.

Showcasing 10 torrid dancers accompanied by the fiery musicians of Quatrotango, Tango Fire offers a journey through the history of tango, from its origins in the red light district of Buenos Aires to the glamour of the Roaring Twenties and its evolution to the world of contemporary ballroom.

For more on Tango Fire, visit www.tango-fire.com. For show and ticket information, visit www.brooklyncenter.com or brooklyncenteronline.org or call (718) 951-4500.
