Swoosie Kurtz Is 'Pushing Daisies'
Emmy Award-winning, Tony-nominated actress Swoosie Kurtz plays Lily Charles on ABC's Pushing Daisies, which airs Wednesdays at 8pm.
Kurtz's character is "formerly one half of the renowned synchronized swimming duo the Darling Mermaid Darlings, Chuck's (Anna Friel) aunt is now a one-eyed shut-in with a glib, grim outlook on life. After Chuck's father died, Lily and her sister Vivian moved into Chuck's house to take care of her."
Born in Nebraska to a World War II colonel father and an author mother, Swoosie gets her unique name from the airplane her father piloted during the war -- "The Swoose," named after a bird that is hald swan and half goose.
