Senator Charles Schumer Talks About The Economy

Senator Charles Schumer stopped by the studio this morning to talk about the state of the economy and how it affects New Yorkers.
Schumer stated he felt it would be best to keep the middle class working so they are still able to pump money into the economy. One of the ways to accomplish this is to put money into the infratructure, much like President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal and Public Works Administration. This would provide unemployment relief and provide jobs for the working class.
He also stated that the second part of the national stimulus package should help small business get loans to keep their shop afloat.
Schumer believes that the economy will fall "deeper and harder" than its current state, but bounce back quickly and strongly.
