LIFE's 'Classic Collection' Harkens Americana

In 1936, LIFE launched its magazine and introduced the world to a new kind of publication. True to its innovative roots, LIFE will published The Classic Collection and introduced the world to a new kind of book. The Classic Collection showcases 100 of history’s most iconic photographs in an unparalleled gallery presentation.
Twenty-five of the book’s most sensational images are stand-alone 8" x 10" prints, completely detachable from the book. This format allows an image to exist on the page once the print is removed, leaving the book aesthetically intact.
LIFE: The Classic Collection, which retails for $29.95 (Hardcover), will be available online at bookstores nationwide now.
