It's a milestone birthday for an East Village institution. How would like to eat lasagne at 1908 prices? Well, today you can.
John's Restaurant on East 12th Street (between 2nd and 3rd Avenues) is celebrating its 100th anniversary and to commemorate this milestone they’ll charge their 1908 prices for their delicious meals from 11am to 4pm.
And by the way, tell them the CW11's John Muller said hello. John used to be a waiter there back in his days as an undergrad at New York University. Last night was the restaurant's alumni waiter's party. "I waited tables there for years while going to college. I celebrated the birthday along with so many of the staff members that made it the great family place it is," said John.
