Well, That Was A Dumb Idea...

We're starting a new segment here on the CW11 Morning News called "The Dumbest Idea."
We've been mulling through all the stories we told you about this week - looking for whoever made the dumbest choice and these guys take the cake.
This week's Dumbest Idea goes to the AIG executives who spent $86,000 on a partridge hunting trip - just days after asking the government for a $37 billion loan!
Cash-strapped AIG says the annual trip was planned months before it got the loan. But you'd think, since the company needed to ask the government for money, it would at least cancel the trip.
New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo warned AIG that he could revoke the loan. So the company has now called off some 160 other conferences and events and cancelled a multi-million dollar severance package for its outgoing chief financial officer.
What do you think? Leave a comment to rate the AIG executives on their dumb idea - and tell us who you think had the dumbest idea this week.

Very dumb of AIG to proceed with their outings when they don't have the money for it. This same scenario is why this country is in trouble. 'Spending more then you have'
I think the Real DUMB IDEA of this week came yesterday when a mother of a 3 year old thought is was OK to leave the girl down the Toy Aisle while the mother went shopping. This is from 'yesterdays N.J. Amber Alert'
This is happening all over the place. Parents feel that a shopping store is their kids Playground. And to make it worse, they literally walk away from their kids and come back after shopping. I think the Girls kidnapper should be arrested BUT so should the irresponsible mother. The mother should also be charged for the toys the kid played with. These stores should not have to clean up after and sometimes throw out the toys these kids were playing with.
Dumb dumb dumb
The dumbest idea - I was young once, hopefully we all were. Nobody has been born a full grown adult, if so there's a problem. Anyway the teens and the sewer/ninja turtle bit. I mean are you __c_ing serious. I don't encourage doing dangerous stuff, but once they said they were playing like TMNT, the story got extra dumb. There's is know talking to them about it, its just...Dude with your face twisted all up while your saying it,. That's all just dude. I don't think they would even need a discussion about, because they already know.
AIG - The time where approximately half the country wouldn't read the biz or financial section or pay it much mind on the news is gone. Now that this crisis is going on More and more people are reading the biz and financial section and are learning and being concerned. Despite what AIG may have done over the years, that weren't good moves, people are watching and saying okay you had a talking to after you got the first portion of money, and now again. Dude...your rep. You guys are water color discussions, the Aim: for a not so good dialogue about your company between folks. when I use to work at citibank one of the think that was discussed in orientation was reputation (company reputation). People make mistakes and companies do as well. But these aren't just mistakes from AIG and others on the street that has an invisible wall around it.
Just reckless.
