Switch to Digital TV May Be Delayed

The DTV Transition is currently scheduled for February 17, 2009. But will the economic crisis bump back the start date? Some members of Congress are weary that we'll be ready and are pushing for a DTV delay.
For more information about the transition to digital television, visit www.wpix.com/dtv_transition.

The longer the postponment the better.
They advertise that this is better TV. All it's doing is forcing you and me to spend money to upgrade our TV viewing so the FCC can use the 'old' TV frequencies.
Have you noticed how the commercials are changing for this? First it was simply plug in a Digital converter, now it's "You may need to upgrade your antenna". "Possibly You will not be able to see the networks you have been watching. You will get ABC, NBC etc BUT they may be from conn. instead of NY if that signal is stronger. So your TV personalities may all change."
They are only giving coupons for the relatively inexpensive Digital box But the Antenna will be several hundred dollars...The gov't is walking away from those rebates.
The worst is All the DVT2009 websites won't let you contact someone to actually ask a question. So you know we are in for a frustrating time come Feb.
