Celeb Party David Tutera Shares Tips To Lower Wedding Costs

Celebrity party planner David Tutera has a new show My Fair Wedding premiering on October 26 on WEtv at 10pm.
Modeled after the classic movie, My Fair Lady, Tutera teaches unruly brides the elements of proper speech, poise and class, and transforms them and their headed for disaster wedding into spectacular affairs.
The twist: Tutera comes on the scene days before the wedding and makes drastic changes ranging from throwing out the bride's already paid for and beloved wedding dresses to changing her venue the day of the wedding.
He shares with us five ways you can lower your wedding budget.
READ MORE, PICTURE AND VIDEO AFTER THE JUMP...

1. How to bling out your bouquet on a budget: easy and cost effective ways to turn an average bouquet into an elaborate celebrity-style bouquet.
Tutera will show a finished fancy and elaborate bouquet, an unfinished bouquet, and the raw materials used for the incredible transformation.
2. Make your favors do double duty as escort cards as well!
Tutera will show how a simple penny, stone or small token can be transformed into a wonderful favor and escort card all in one and all on a budget
3. Instead of a pricy and over the top cake, fake the cake!
Tutera will show how you can rent a fake wedding cake and still enjoy the tradition of the cake cutting as well as the designer cake look but without the outrageous costs. Your guests will never know that they aren’t eating your “real” wedding cake and they are actually eating sliced sheet cake.
4. Serve signature cocktails at your party eliminating the need for a full bar
Tutera will show how choosing a few specialty cocktails can reduce costs by eliminating the need (and cost) of a full bar. He will make this into a fun activity by having a “drink bar” where guests can choose their own drink based on provided recipes all using your signature liqueur.
5. In lieu of large and expensive centerpieces, create an original and inexpensive centerpiece incorporating non-floral elements
Tutera will show how to create a stunning and unique centerpiece using non-traditional items such as lemons, limes, minimal floral and candles.
