Perez Hilton Wants To Prevent You From Committing 'Red Carpet Suicide'
The Queen of Gossip Perez Hilton was here to gossip and to talk about his forthcoming book, Red Carpet Suicide: A Survival Guide on Keeping Up With the Hiltons. The book is due out in January 2009.
Hilton has been called the "most hated person in Hollywood" because of his blog which criticizes and makes fun of celebrities.
"It's really refreshing not to care what anyone thinks because it gives me the liberty to write whatever I want, whether you like me or you don't. You know, Perez isn't my real name, so it doesn't bother me. It's a character," said Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira.
A native of Florida, Lavandeira has ties to the Big Apple too. He graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in 2000.
