Energy Drinks Taste Test

These days, energy drinks can be found in every grocery and convenient store, with each promising to offer a healthy boost when you need an extra kick.
Men's Fitness tests six of the most popular energy drink brands to determine which are worth chugging--and which deserve to be chucked. Elizabeth Sanchez from Men's Fitness was here to explain.
DRINK INFO AND VIDEO AFTER THE JUMP...
Monster Lo-Carb Monster
20 calories, 6g carbs
Verdict: With just 10% of the calories in regular Monster you still get the same buzz, thanks to stimulants like caffeine and guarana.
Guru Lite
10 calories, 2g carbs
Verdict: Guru's calories come from organic sugarcane juice, plus a few sweet potent herbs like guarana and ginko, which help with energy, memory and concentration. But the flavor's not great.
Red Bull Sugar-Free
10 calories, 3g carbs
Verdict: Only 10 calories, but keep in mind how small the can is. Plus, the formula is pretty average: taurine, B vitamins, and plenty of caffeine.
Amp Sugar-Free
10 calories, 0 carbs
Verdict: An eight-ounce can has only five calories, but it masquerades as a nutrition supplement. You can get the B vitamins like niacin and pantothenic acid from regular food.
Jolt Ultra Sugar Free
Verdict: Caffeine and guarana provide the steam, and Jolt masks their bad taste with sucralose, which tastes like sugar but has zero calories.
No Fear Sugar-Free
Verdict: Packed with stimulants and nutrients like folic acid, vitamins B and C and Celenium, it won't replace a healthy meal--or even a multivitamin--but it's not bad either.
