Maria Bello Always Wanted To Be Indiana Jones

Maria Bello is Evelyn O’Connell in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, opening nationwide on Friday. Bello's co-star and movie son Luke Ford also stopped by the CW11 studio to talk about the movie.

Evelyn is Rick's (Brendan Fraser) wife and both are share a passion for archaeology. Their son Alex (Ford) travels with them and becomes part of the team that uncovers a lost Chinese emperor's tomb. But Alex accidentally awakes the Dragon Emperor (Jet Li) from his 2,000 year old curse. Now the entire O'Connell archaelogical family must work together to restore peace.

A native of Pennsylvania, Bello's acting career includes TV series ER and Mr. & Mrs. Smith and movies Coyote Ugly, Secret Window and Thank You For Smoking.

You can catch her next in the film 2009 The Private Lives of Pippa Lee where she will play Suky. Also in the cast are Blake Lively (Gossip Girl), Keanu Reeves, Winona Ryder, Monica Bellucci and Julianne Moore.
