Gene Simmons is On a Music (and Book) Tour

Gene Simmons, Kiss' bass guitarist, stopped by the CW11 studio to talk about his new book, Ladies of the Night.
"I would not call it the history of prostitution," said Simmons of his new book, "It's a historical and personal perspective of the oldest profession in the world. It's too easy for the men of the world to demean women and we continue to do that and I think it's mean-spirited and women deserve more."
He says that his inpsiration for the book came from his interest in the Puritan values ingrained in the United States. As a result, Simmons said, American culture is comparatively far more conservative than its European counterpart.
Kiss has been on a two year tour of Europe and the group is celebrating its 35th anniversary. The iconic New York band was founded in January 1973 and their black and white face paint was signature to their image.
Simmons will be at the Barnes and Noble on 5th Avenue and 46th Street tomorrow at 12:30pm for a book signing.
