Actress Keke Palmer Talks About 'The Longshots'

Keke Palmer is in the new movie The Longshots, directed by former Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst. The movie debuts on August 22.
The film centers on Curtis Plummer (Ice Cube), who is a former high school football star, and his niece Jasmine (Palmer). Curtis turns Jasmine into a star quarterback for a local team, the Minden Browns. Jasmine helps bring the team to the Pop Warner Super Bowl, where they try to re-ignite pride and glory to Minden, Illinois.

This young actress is only 14 years old and has already accumulated such major accolades like a American SAG Award nomination and a NAACP Image Award. Her career includes the starring role as Akeelah Anderson in Akeelah and the Bee and as Mary Thomas in Disney's Jump In! with Corbin Bleu.
Palmer has also worked with Samuel L. Jackson, Eva Mendes and Tyler Perry.
Palmer has also extended her reach into the music business. Last year, she released her debut album So Uncool under Atlantic Records.
Lauren Keyana "Keke" Palmer hails from Harvey, Illinois and has three siblings.
