NY Residential:
We checked out what's happening in the real estate market with Cathy Hobbs, host of WPIX's new show NY Residential.
NY Residential TV brings eager couples, interested viewers, brokers and real estate experts together as they scan all five boroughs of New York City for the perfect home. With real estate television programming booming, NY Residential TV sets itself apart by catering to a regional market as well as being multi-faceted in ways other shows are not. Aside from traditional house hunting, showcasing properties and open houses, NY Residential TV will also be a program that assists those who have found a home, decorate; those who need to flip a home, renovate; and those who are looking to buy or sell, negotiate. The show will also advise viewers how to find foreclosures, as well as the best way to make your new home "green."

Almost 60 years ago when WPIX first went on the air it was broadcast at a building in the 50's in New York. At that time there was a show "Okay Mother" and the star's first name was Dennis. I can't remember his last name but he later announced wrestling matches. Contetants were chosen from the audience to compete for a prize by talking about a particular subect. I was chosen and won. I think the prize was a kitchen appliance. I'm pretty sure WPIX was called Dumont at that time.
It's difficult to believe that it was 60 years ago but I want to offer my congratulations to WPIX. I watch and enjoy the 10 o'clock news every night and very often think of that afternoon all those years ago when I was chosen to be on television.
i liked the show however when i went on the website for more information i was unable to find it.
