American Eve:

Before there was Paris, Lindsay and Britney, there was Evelyn Nesbit. New York's original It Girl, she captured the attention of New York's elite and created a love triangle that ended in murder. Author Paula Uruburu fills us in on the original "trial of the century" in her new book American Eve, in book stores now.

Hi. I was watching the news this morning and thought I might contact you regarding certain reports you telavise which are completely incorrect and missleading to the public in general.

Your morning telecast today talks of milk prices going up because of the rizing price of corn. Milk cows are fed corn sillage in case you dont know to provide protien for muscle growth and and maintenance. Corn or corn sillage has little to nothing regarding the production of milk in milk cows.

Consult Wikipedia and other sources (preferably dairy farmers) which you hurt in not consulting monetarilly.

From what I see in your day to day programing. Your concerns lie in making everyone feel sorry for stray cats.

It often seems that other animals arent treated the same way. Bears, wolves, mountain lions, coyoties and on and on are killed without any reason. Just a nusiance to be shot and perhaps caged if it doesnt die from the trank darts.

Your entire staff seems to be completely out of tune with specials your parent network has televised (one wonders how you keep your jobs).

Have any of you been out of N.Y. city in your entire lives? Do any of you know how rediculous you sound and appear to the masses when you make these rediculous reports?

In regard to oil prices, I'm 54 and am employed as an independant cargo surveyor. Sort of an independant third party to keep the oil industry honest. During the 60's a law wa passed regarding oil wells drilled before that date. This is old reserve oil which doesnt appear on the oil reserve reports as of late. This happenened in the Kennedy and Johnson administrations. The law states that these wells would be pumped at fulll capacity if gasoline reached $2.60 a barrell. Are youpeople aware in any shape or form about anything?

Uhh, I thought the comments were supposed to be about the book mentioned, "American Eve" ???? I can't answer anything for the 54-year-old all revved up about gas prices, but I can say that Uruburu's novel is a captivating illumination of the historical events which opened the floodgates for the "culture of celebrity" we've all been fascinated with ever since! It's a must-read with BEAUTIFUL pictures of Evelyn throughout the pages.
