Tattoo Artist Paul Booth & The Dark Arts

Tamsen visited the Last Rites Gallery for a preview of their new art show Transgressions. The show features work by well-known tattoo artist Paul Booth who talks about some of his greatest inspirations.
Last Rites Gallery was created to offer a new home for artists that prefer to explore the darker side of their imagination. Our intent is to bring a greater appreciation to this often overlooked genre.

I am glad you're covering artists doing meaningful work in our area. There's a new song out called "50 Bullets" and a webpage about the Sean Bell shooting. Not only is the song catchy but the artist captures this city narrative nicely, albeit graphically. Yardmon's call to New York for peace and unity deserves a response. Please visit mayspace.com/yardmon50 and leave a comment.
P.s. Look for the video on utube soon!

Great story. I got tattooed by Paul Booth years ago and it is still my favorite piece and people who see it are always amazed by how awesome it looks.
Great to see mainstream media covering true NYC artists. Been a fan of Paul Booths work for at least 10 years now..
