I am indifferent to the Sean Bell case, its no surprise to me that the cops were equitted nor is it a surprise that others are outraged. Honestly its tiresom I think everyone in the case needs to just go home and take a nap.
It's a shame that the cops were not even convicted of Reckless Endangerment. Even after the cops bullets were found blocks away at a subway station and there was video tape of the bullet going through the wall. The verdict only laments the fact that the laws does not apply to minorities. The laws are in place to keep minorities in place. Instead of a whip, it's laws.
Common sense says that anyone who's been trained n frearms knows that anything over 5-10 shots are excessve And some type of punishment should be given on the basis of that alone. That's never taught in the Academy. Its called Excessive Force and is no way condoned.
The verdict was fair based on the fact the prosecution couldn't prove it's case, just like in the OJ trail and the witnesses are a bunch of liars looking to make money off the city. And how is this a civil rights issue when 2 of the officers charge are Afro American?
I really do believe that their has been a great injustice to the people of this city by the judge in this case. By not finding these three cops not guilty of any crime is just not right. Aman has lost his life for no just reason. What will his children's mother tell them when they ask her "Why did daddy die? What did he do wrong for the police to shoot him? Why did they not go to jail? When these questions can be answered by the judge then maybe the rest of the world will understand more better.
