Former Mets Manager Bobby Valentine Is Turning Japanese

Former Met Manager Bobby V says he's tired of the Japanese baseball league being just a farm system for America. He takes us on his adventure as he returns to Japan to transform Japenese baseball into a real rival for the American major leagues.
At just 19 years old he started playing with the LA Dodgers. He's been a player, coach and manager but not just in America...

He was the site manager in Japan for the Chiba Lotte Marines (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiba_Lotte_Marines). When he returned to the US, he became manager of the NY Mets. In 2000, the took his team to the world series against their arch rival----the NY Yankees... The Mets lost and it became the beginning of the end for Valentine. He was fired two years later.
But you know what they say...you can't keep a good man down! He headed back to Japan and that's when he began to transform Japenese baseball.
